Microsoft cracks down on software Piracy on Windows XP
You probably heard the news that MS is cracking down on piracy of their Windows XP software.

You probably are aware that WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) or OGA (Office Genuine Advantage) helps Microsoft to detect whether your copy of Windows is valid or non-valid.

Now with newest deployment of WGA to existing users of Windows XP through Windows Update, users operating systems may be flagged with counterfeit software notifications.

This is the screenshot of what WGA does to your desktop background after it detects that you are using a non-genuine version of Windows XP. You can reset the background image, but it will automatically turn black again every 60 minutes

The persistent taskbar notification

The solution? Get a genuine copy of MS Windows!
